Beautifully engraved certificate from the Germania Fire Insurance Company issued in 1864. This historic certificate has a beautiful vignette of an allegorical woman with a sword and crown within a forest scene. This item is hand signed by the Company’s President and Secretary (cancelled), and was printed by Hosford & Co. NY. The Germania Fire Insurance company dates to 1859.
